They look just like what their name says, little silver fish with legs, like what you may see on a centipede, and they have large antennas. Trust me, they are not cute looking. The last thing that you want to do is share your morning bowl of cereal and milk with a silverfish. They lay eggs anytime of the year and tend to lay about three at a time. The eggs do take an average of 19-43 days to hatch. Just squashing the bugs are not going to make them go away, especially if you have an infestation and you do not even know it. You can also purchase a dust that is not harmful to children or pets, and there is a spray that is perfect for spraying in cracks and crevices to find where the silverfish bug may be hiding.
